AVERAGE PRICE FOR THE TICKETS
During the last few weeks, the average purchase and sale price for the final is around 1.600€. Digging into the different categories according to the Wembley zoning, this number varies. In the best category, the price goes up to 2.400€; these are the lateral seats in the stadium, from where you get the best view. For category 2 (corners and the bottom seats of the zones behind the goal) you pay 1.800€ per ticket. In category 3 (upper part behind the goal) the prices go down to 1.400€.
AVERAGE PRICE OF THE LAST FINALS: WEMBLEY MORE EXPENSIVE THAN ROME
In 2009, Barcelona and Manchester United played against each other for the first time in a Champions League Final. Back then, the average price paid was 1.500€, about 6% less than in this year’s final.
The final between Inter Milán and Bayern Münich in Bernabéu last year had an average price of 1.200€. The most expensive final was in 2008 between two English teams, Manchester and Chelsea, where 2.000€ were paid.
THE MOST EXPENSIVE TICKET AND THE CHEAPEST
The best example of the desire that the supporters for both teams have to watch the game is the price one fan was willing to pay for a ticket of the lateral seats: 4.500€. For that amount, two people could take a short trip to Las Vegas, spend the night in a suite in Hotel Bellagio, have diner in one of the best restaurants there and they’d still have enough to go out gambling and go around the city in a limousine.
The other extreme is the amount of 750€, the price for the cheapest ticket. Undoubtedly, still a considerable amount of money, but only comparable to how much you’d spend to change your car wheels (at least for some car models!). It’d be 750€ to live one night of football, in which, whether one’s team wins or loses, it’d always be an unforgettable moment in one’s life.
THE ITALIAN, THE ENGLISH, THE GERMAN AND THE SPANISH: WHO PAYS THE MOST FOR THEIR TICKETS
The last two finals have been disputed by four teams from the four most important leagues in Europe: Italy, Germany, England and Spain. Is there any difference in how much a fan from each country would be willing to pay? The answer is yes.
The English fan is, undoubtedly, the most passionate when it comes to give the credit card to pay: they pay an average of 1.800€ per ticket. The value for the pound over the euro also contributes for this.
The Spanish fan and the German fan spent a similar amount to watch FC Barcelona and Bayern Münich: 1.500 and 1.300€ respectively.
In the last position, the Italian fans, who paid an average of 1.000€ per ticket last year.
TERE ARE MORE EXPENSIVE SPORTS
The Champions League Final is one of the most important sports events of the year in many places in the world. However, there are other finals that have an even more exclusive access in the market of purchase and sale of tickets
It is not surprising to see Superbowl in first place, the game in which every year the two best American football teams. The average price for Superbowl is about 4.000€.
Also, right before the old Europe Cup is the All England Club: an average of 3.000€ is paid to watch the top tennis players conquering Wimbledon.
Right after, we have the World Cup final, the sports event with the most audience around the world. In South Africa the match between Spain and Netherlands the average price was of 1.800€.
And after Champions League is the European Basket. A ticket for this final is “only” worth an average of 800€, that are also for watching live the four games.

Son 750€ por vivir una noche que, gane o pierda el equipo al que se anime, se convertirá en un recuerdo imborrable de por vida.
UN ITALIANO, UN INGLÉS, UN ALEMÁN Y UN ESPAÑOL: QUIÉNES PAGAN MÁS POR SUS ENTRADAS
Las últimas dos finales han enfrentado a cuatro de equipos de las cuatro ligas más importantes de Europa: Italia, Alemania, Inglaterra y España. ¿Existe alguna diferencia en lo que está dispuesto a pagar el aficionado de cada país? La respuesta es afirmativa.
El aficionado inglés es, sin duda, el más ‘apasionado’ a la hora de poner la tarjeta de crédito sobre la mesa: de media paga 1.800€ por entrada. Sin duda, también influye el mayor valor de la libra esterlina sobre el euro.
Los aficionados españoles y alemanes han realizado un desembolso similar para ver al Fútbol Club Barcelona y al Bayern: 1.500 y 1.300€ respectivamente

HAY DEPORTES MÁS CAROS
La final de la Champions League es uno de los mayores eventos deportivos del año en muchas partes del mundo. Sin embargo, hay otras finales que tienen un acceso aún más exclusivo en el mercado de compra y venta de entradas.
No sorprende ver en primer lugar la Superbowl, el partido que anualmente juegan los dos mejores equipos del fútbol americano. Su precio medio ronda nada más y nada menos que los 4.000€.
También por delante de la antigua Copa de Europa se cuela el tenis y el elitista All England Club: se paga una media de 3.000€ para ver a las máximas figuras luchar por conquistar Wimbledon.
Tras él, la final del Mundial, el espectáculo deportivo con mayor audiencia del globo. En Sudáfrica, el partido que disputaron España y Holanda se situó en 1.800€.
Y por detrás de la Champions, el baloncesto europeo. Una entrada para la Final Four ‘sólo’ cuesta, de media, 800 euros, que además sirven para presenciar en directo los cuatro partidos.
